Are you holding off purchasing a PRESTO card because a monthly pass just makes more sense? Well, TTC has announced that monthly PRESTO cards are now available for purchase for the month of June.
The original cost of the PRESTO card is $6, but the pass itself will cost $146.25 (the same as a regular monthly TTC pass). Seniors receive a discount at $116.75
At the moment, there is a limited number of monthly PRESTO cards available, so don’t everyone get rid of their pass at the same time. The TTC is rolling them out slowly so they can gage customer service. According to their website, “this will ensure we can provide the best possible product once we roll it out to a wider audience. We will keep customers informed when the number of TTC Monthly Passes on PRESTO will be increased throughout 2017 and 2018.”
You can purchase the new PRESTO cards online or at one of the Gateway stands at your nearest TTC station. Do not purchase one if you receive a monthly pass through the TTC’s Metropass Discount Plan.
